This zine is only happening because of the Bator Bro parties in London. We had been toying around with the idea for a couple of years but it finally materialised in March ‘24. 

Nick had been invited to run a masterclass at Recon Fetish Week London in July ‘24. We thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase the scene. We decided to call the masterclass ‘Bator Sex’ to frame bating as a form of sex. 

The Bator Bro Parties takes place in London on the 4th Sunday of each month. They are about bringing internet Bator culture into physical spaces. 

At the March post-event social, we saw the event’s impact on people’s lives. However, we felt that Bator culture wasn’t being represented in the way we experienced it. We had to share our vision. 

This issue contains artwork and written works submitted by bators especially for the zine. A 120-minute community radio show, is also available in conjunction. This first issue is an overview. We aim to release four more issues, quarterly, exploring different elements.
